Neolytica launches IRIS, a new On-line Customer Service Productivity Tool for laboratories.

IRIS (Interactive Relationship Information System) will help analytical labraotires of all sizes to manage their customers on-line, dramtically reducing account management cost and increasing productivity and customer satisfaction.

Neolytica has increased its product and service portfolio with the introduction of IRIS. IRIS (Interactive Relationship Information System) is targeted at filling the market gap for a productivity tool that enables laboratories to cost-effectively manage their customers and projects on-line.

IRIS provides services such as on-line ordering, invoicing, quote requests, sample tracking, project management and secure instant messaging as well as report and result downloading. IRIS can be accessed 24-hours-a-day, from anywhere across the globe, using an Internet browser. It has well-defined security architecture, ensuring that only those with pre-defined privileges are allowed access. The broad range of functionality enables IRIS to significantly reduce back office costs and improve customer satisfaction. Neolytica have also teamed up with Themo Electron (NYSE: TMO) in October 2002 to offer a web-enabled LIMS solution based on the Nautilus LIMS platform.

Neolytica aims to supply an array of web-enabled tools developed specifically to save customers time and money through increased productivity. For this reason, IRIS and a web-enabled LIMS, Neolytica LIMS-ASPTM were developed. Neolytica realizes that internal and external laboratories are facing increasing challenges, as they are required to deliver more with less. Consequently there is the need to increase business efficiency like never before" says Steve Gregory, President and Chief Operating Officer, Neolytica. The primary goals for LIMS and IRIS are to improve laboratory productivity and reduce the total cost of ownership for all customers. The key benefits to successfully meeting these goals include faster and more competitive business operations and better managed IT costs.

Customers, which choose to outsource their software, experience a faster, easier and more convenient service. A monthly rental fee, replaces initial capital expenditure in hardware, software and continuing systems maintenance, therefore spreading cash outlays over a more manageable period. "Hosting services on a network of centrally managed servers maintained by highly trained specialists also provides users with the highest level of availability, scalability and performance. It further removes costs associated with upgrades and offers levels of security hard to duplicate in-house" says Simon Kaalman, Chief Information Officer, Neolytica.

About Neolytica
Neolytica provides a range of other value added services including a single point of contact for the outsourcing of analytical testing, consulting, project and information management and sample tracking. Neolytica fully expect to see their range of products grow in the future as they continue to develop solutions to traditional laboratory problems.

Neolyticas North American headquarters is located in Ann Arbor, Mich., and its European office is in Manchester, United Kingdom.
