Film Director Set To Make Film To Showcase Famous Crow Indians And Sacrifice Cliffs Suicide
Film Director Michael Helgeson sets out to make the movie, "The Seventh Direction."
Seventh Direction Films, in association with Harvester Productions.
The film is a contemporary story which takes place on the Crow Reservation near Billings Montana.
The story is inspired by some true events. The main character, Urben Walks With Wolves is an ex-FBI agent who has fallen back into excessive drinking. When some strange deaths begin to take place on the Crow Reservation, a Los Angeles FBI agent arrives to enlist Urben to help solve the murders.
Urben sobers up and takes a spiritual journey to follow the paths and clues only to realize that if he does not change the path he is on the murders may come looking for him.
Best described as a cross between, "Thunder Heart," "Seven" and "Memento."
The film also incorporates some historical events which help shape the story. In the late 1880's, sixteen Crow Warriors returned from a long hunting expedition only to find their loved one's dead. They asked the great spirit for a sign and to make the Crow happy, healthy and strong. The Great Spirit heard their prayer and the sixteen Crow Warriors blind-folded their horses and all rode of what are known as 'Sacrifice Cliffs' as a sacrifice for their prayers being heard.
