Color and Light; the World of Mark Vinsun:
The abstract world of Color and Light that Mark Vinsun creates is an exquisite treat to the lover of modern art. The aggressive brush strokes and the bright colors of this talented artist take the viewer beyond mere vision of a landscape to a world of imagination and passion. The collection of paintings in this exhibition shows the tremendous mastery of Vinsun as an abstract impressionistic painter and captivates the viewer for their beauty and vibrancy; each brush stroke demanding attention and each color drawing the thoughtful viewer into a familiar yet intangible scene somewhere back in their own imagination.

Vinsun creates deep and wonderful sceneries through vibrant blocks of color that run across the canvas. These paintings speak to the imagination through an astonishing vocabulary of color. His ingenious selection of color combinations and careful direction of brush strokes convert the surface of the canvas into a vivacious atmosphere. His play with color and light on the canvas adds an element of mystery to the blurred scenery. The more one looks into the paintings the more one feels the world of the abstract artist, the closer one gets to them the more they see the depth of his feelings.

The artist of this breathtaking collection of abstract paintings is currently an artist designer in New York City. Vinsun has been an active artist for a long time with an array of solo and group exhibitions to his credit. He also has a great background in arts including a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of Arts. In this collection of paintings he pays tribute to his mentor, the late great Spanish abstract painter Estaban Vincente. His next solo exhibition Color and Light will be made public on the 25th of June 2003 at the gallery opening of Atelier Art New York.
