Ambassador of Paraguay and Belgian fashion design talents team up to raise funds for children's charity

FASHION SHOW HIGHLIGHTING BELGIAN DESIGNERS TO BE HELD IN BRUSSELS ON 24 JUNE IN AID OF PARAGUAYAN CHARITY FOUNDATION

Brussels 19 June - immediate release - On 24 June 2003, the Ambassador of Paraguay in Belgium, His Excellency Emilio Gimenez Franco, will be hosting a fashion show and reception that will highlight some of Belgium's most exciting fashion designers. Guests from the Brussels diplomatic corps, the European institutions, international business environment and Belgian fashion community will be able to marvel at the latest creations of Yves Dooms, Mademoiselle Lucien and Raphael Dorient. The fashion show is being organised to rally support and funds for the Paraguayan Ala Foundation which was established officially in 2000 to help improve quality of primary schools and education programmes in Paraguay.

Ambassador Franco commented on the event: " I truly believe that this event is an example of cooperation between Europe and Latin America in a creative way. The Ala foundation is a wonderful and extremely important organisation I am very proud that such highly acclaimed Belgian fashion designers such as Yves Dooms, Mademoiselle Lucien and Raphael Dorient are making time available to help support the work of the foundation. I know that there are many teachers and children in Paraguay that truly appreciate their commitment."

Other important figures of the fashion scene of Brussels are also sponsoring the night, like the Coiffeur Jean D, Guerlain, The House of Colour, Scotts Shoes, Starmania Model Agency, Eurogab Trade, LAtelier du Cancre and The Angelus Lab.
