The People Pages: Resources for Social Change is a new national resource directory for activists, community organizers, and grassroots nonprofit organizations. The book includes contact information for 2500 social change organizations, 25 articles and 10 planning worksheets about organizational development and management, lists of books and films, and a directory of educational programs in nonprofit management. The book costs $15 and proceeds will help to create a new radical reading room and resource center.

The People Pages Editor, Jessica R. Dreistadt, who is also Founding Director of The Fruition Coalition, started this project in March 2002 to organize her resource files. I had information about hundreds of organizations in a filing cabinet but no easy way to find the particular information I needed. I also knew that there were many other groups who had resources I could use. After I started compiling lists of organizations, programs, and publications, I realized that this information would be useful to many other people as well."

The Fruition Coalition, publisher of The People Pages, has built strength and longevity into grassroots organizations in Philadelphia for the past two years through management, communications, and technical support and education. The Coalition forms collaborative partnerships with emerging organizations as they define mission and goals, plan and strategize for the future, design communications programs, develop new resources, and incorporate new technology.

The People Pages can be purchased online at www.fruitioncoalition.com or by sending a check or money order to The Fruition Coalition, PO Box 51293, Philadelphia, PA 19115. The book costs $15 plus $2.50 shipping and handling. Any organization can use this book as a fundraiser by purchasing a minimum of 10 books at 50% off.
