Aderans Research Institute Finds a New Home at the Science Center
Aderans Research Institute (ARI), a company dedicated to medical research in the areas of hair growth and regeneration, has grown out of its current lab space in the Science Center Port and will be moving to larger quarters in another Science Center property.
PHILADELPHIA, PA (PRWEB) June 26, 2003 -- Aderans Research Institute (ARI)-a company dedicated to medical research in the areas of hair growth and regeneration-has grown out of its current lab space in the Science Center Port and will be moving to larger quarters in another Science Center property.
ARI will move out of their current laboratory space in the Science Center Port (the regions premier IT and life science business incubator) and into 4,000 square feet of custom-designed laboratory space in the Science Centers newly-renovated 3401 Market Street. ARI has signed a 10-year lease for the space.
Jill Felix, President of the Science Center, said she was delighted ARI will remain within the Science Center community.
This is a perfect example of the continuum of services and space the Science Center provides," Felix said. From just starting out to a mature research facility, we were able accommodate ARIs needs."
ARI is the advanced research and development arm of the Aderans Group-a global leader in hair care and hair restoration products and services. In addition to ARI, Aderans is also the parent company of several other hair-related companies, including the Bosley Medical Group of Hair Transplant Clinics.
ARIs Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Kurt Stenn said he and his team are looking forward to the move. Our research is at a really exciting stage," he said.
Hair regeneration at the cellular level is the next logical step for the industry and for Aderans in particular," Dr. Stenn said. Since we are the leader in hair restoration through the Bosley Medical clinics, this research fits neatly into the focus and long-term goals of Aderans."
We are developing cell-based products which will generate new tissue-in this case hair," Dr. Stenn said. Our goal is to be able to take a small number of hair follicles, and then grow thousands to be used in the transplant process."
