Bopscotch Announces Its Premiere Computer Game Release "Spintensity"

Bopscotch calls its first independently produced game "the original puzzler that will leave your mind spinning."

CHARLESTON, SC (PRWEB) June 25, 2003 -- Bopscotch, LLC, a designer and developer of thought-provoking computer games and electronic toys, today announced the release of its first independently produced computer game, Spintensity.

Spintensity features original, thoughtful game play and infinite playability. Simply put, players spin mismatched tiles to complete a wide range of puzzles. The diversity of active puzzle pieces (locked pieces, linked pieces, movable pieces, and bombs), arranged in a variety of shapes and sizes, provide a perpetual logical challenge. The thorough in-game tutorial lets new players jump right in, and as the puzzles become more complex, the automated help system keeps them going. Players can choose to keep score, challenging themselves and others to improve their game, or they can opt for the relaxed free-play mode.

Rooted in the traditional puzzle game genre, with similarities to many perennial favorites, Spintensity nevertheless stands apart. As one online reviewer says, "I thought it was just a gem-clicking game, but by the end of the level it had really grown on me. It's got a good feel to it, and the levels are challenging but not frustrating."

Designer and Bopscotch founder Jonathan Blossom said, "We're thrilled to spread our wings in the independent game market with such a strong first offering and, and we're gratified to see how much our customers enjoy it. Spintensity is attractive, fun, and easy to understand, and its subtleties make it a long-term addiction."

Internet users can download a free, limited 30-play trial of Spintensity from the Bopscotch website at http://www.bopscotch.com/spintensity. Registration, available for $19.95 on the Bopscotch site, unlocks many additional puzzles and eliminates the trial period.

To run Spintensity smoothly, Bopscotch recommends at least a Pentium II/400, 24-bit 640x480 display, DirectX 7, and Windows 98/SE/XP. Macintosh and Linux versions are currently planned.
