ATTORNEY BARBARA SHAHEEN ALESI ELECTED TO EXECUTIVE BOARD OF NAWBO/LI

Barbara Shaheen Alesi, Esq., has been elected Secretary and formally installed as a member of the Executive Board of the Long Island Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO/LI) during ceremonies held earlier this month. A resident of Glen Cove and a partner at Long Islands thirteenth largest law firm, Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP (FCSMC&C), Alesi joined NAWBO in 2001.

Mineola, NY (PRWEB) June 28, 2003 - Barbara Shaheen Alesi, Esq., has been elected Secretary and formally installed as a member of the Executive Board of the Long Island Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO/LI) during ceremonies held earlier this month.

A resident of Glen Cove and a partner at Long Islands thirteenth largest law firm, Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP (FCSMC&C), Alesi joined NAWBO in 2001.

NAWBO is an important national organization with chapters working regionally to enhance the growth of women business owners," said Alesi. Im proud to represent NAWBO Long Island in helping women to develop skills and grow their businesses in Nassau and Suffolk Counties."

Active in civic and not-for-profit organizations, Alesi currently serves as chair of the North Shore Animal League Presidents Advisory Board, and has served as a member of the Cablevision Community Gardens Steering Committee and the Community Advisory Board of the Junior League of Long Island. Dedicated to womens advancement, she is also a member of the Executive Womens Golf Association. She is a recent recipient of Long Island Business News Top 50 Women" award.

Alesi concentrates her legal practice at FCSMC&C in the areas of corporate and commercial matters, including commercial real estate transactions, private placements of securities and mortgage, and asset-based financing. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the NCBAs Corporation Law Committee. A graduate of St. John's University School of Law, she became a founding member of Curto, Barton & Alesi, P.C. which merged with the firm Forchelli, Schwartz in 1999 to become Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP. The firm was recognized by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce with a 2002 Award of Excellence for leadership, philanthropy, and a dedication to community.
