Dug kicked off their upcoming 2004 Spring Ad Campaign by announcing that Melissa Howard of MTVs The Real World -- New Orleans" will be the new face of the celebrated male underwear and loungewear brand.

The 2004 Spring line is built around re-defining loungewear and lounge time. Dug is expected to introduce new graphic T-shirts, urging dug consumers to live now." The Spring line will also see the birth of lounge denim." With the marriage of denim and loungewear dug has come up with a relaxed fit, lightweight denim, styled with an elastic drawstring waist band and stone washed for fabric softness."    

Dug was created in 1999 by childhood friends, Michael Stoney and Jonathan Johnson. Their clothing line is comfortable and fashionable at the same time, dressing men from morning 'til night. Since its inception, the dug brand has received international recognition and has been seen on such celebrities as Gwen Stefani of No Doubt, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tyrese.

With Kellwood Company backing the brand, dug merchandise is currently available in select specialty and department stores and beginning this Fall, at Marshall Fields nationwide.

Melissa most recently participated in MTVs The Road Rules/Real Word Challenge-Battle of the Sexes." She is now being featured on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Badly", an all-girl comedy prank show, a cross between Sex and the City" and Candid Camera." Featured in such major publications as US Weekly, Maxim (August 2003), Entertainment Weekly and on networks like VH1, MTV, Oxygen and E!, Melissa has been effectively expressing her word to the media. On why she chose dug, Melissa says, if you're gonna wear it(underwear) it may as well be hot." She goes on to say that dug co-creator, Michael Stoney is a business man, he took the idea of being comfortable and made it a business."
