Fonar Corporation manufacturer of medical MRI equipment fights off union drive.

The International Association of Ironworkers has filed a petetion with the national labor relations board today to represent the employees who manufacture MRI medical equipmaent. Fonar management has terminated some employees for their union efforts which will result in substantial legal activity with this government agency.

Ironworkers Local 455 located in New York City has filed with the National Labor Relations Board a petition to represent certain employees involved in the manufacture of MRI equipment. Employees have complained to the union that they are not receiving proper overtime rates and are not refunded for expenses in a timely manner among other complaints.
Fonar Corporation which is traded on NASDAQ manufactures and sell MRI equipment.

Fonar started bt Dr. Raymond Damadarian is located in Suffolk County new York.

Iron Workers representative Frank DeFilippi states that the employer has launched a textbook union busting campaign and has been especially cruel in its treatment of the union supporters.
