LASERIUM® the world's first on-going laser show debuted at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California on November 19, 1973. With a long running history at its 28 year base at Griffith Observatory (Laserium offices now relocated in Van Nuys, CA) and other venues, the renowned laser show has been an evolving source of entertainment seen literally by millions. In the spring of this year Laseriums president, Ivan Dryer received E-mail from Laughlin, Nevada based River Palms Casino Resort, requesting an outdoors version of the extravaganza. On March 29 (03) the Laserium show began as a one-month test of nightly performances on the hour, to see if they would draw from other properties.

Making use of a vacant expanse of the 25 --story hotels pool area, the famous laser-induced light display (the largest outdoor laser show in the western US), featuring the music of legendary bands such as Pink Floyd etc. has again proven successful and the River Palms Casino Resort has granted an indefinite extension.
