At the TechEd 2003 show, Biscom, a leading provider of enterprise fax management solutions, announced the latest version of its FAXCOM for Exchange fax connector, featuring seamless integration with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
Chelmsford, MA (PRWEB) June 30, 2003 -- At the TechEd 2003 show today, Biscom, a leading provider of enterprise fax management solutions, announced the latest version of its FAXCOM for Exchange fax connector, featuring seamless integration with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
FAXCOM for Exchange extends Outlook users messaging capabilities, enabling them to select fax recipients directly from Outlook Address Book contacts. Users receive faxes in their email inboxes as attachments, and simply double click to open the fax in the FAXCOM TIFF viewer, included with the product.
FAXCOM for Exchange also features support for JobTracking, a software module that monitors whether faxes reach their intended destination(s) and alerts system administrators by fax, email, printer, pager and/or cell phone if they dont. With JobTracking administrators can: track the progress of both inbound and outbound fax jobs throughout the FAXCOM system, monitor the progress of each fax in a database, record an audit trail of fax activity for review and reports, and enable inbound tracking on a per-user basis.
The FAXCOM for Exchange connector works in conjunction with Biscoms FAXCOM Server to provide: unified messaging for sending and receiving faxes via email, a translation engine that automatically converts standard document formats (Microsoft Office, PDF, HTML, etc.) into TIFF for faxing, and support for virtually every computing, application, telephony and messaging environment.
With this latest release of our Exchange connector, we are keeping current with Microsofts newest product version to enable our clients to leverage the features and benefits of both offerings," stated George Bartley, VP of Engineering at Biscom. FAXCOM for Exchange 2003 provides us with a venue to showcase our over 16 years of technical expertise in this technology. Its our best offering yet!"
Biscom has made a commitment to providing customers with fax communication tools," said Chris Baker, group product manager at Microsoft Corp. Through the support of industry partners such as Biscom, our customers can extend the capabilities of the Exchange platform."
