WEDDING BELL ANNOUNCES NEW BRIDAL REGISTRY SERVICE WITH UNIQUE PARTIAL PURCHASE FEATURE.

Harrisburg, PA (PRWEB) July 2, 2003. Wedding Bell, a wedding magazine serving brides in the Central Pennsylvania area (http://www.theweddingbell.com), is launching a new and unique on-line bridal registry designed to simplify gift giving, avoid unwanted and duplicate gifts, and make it easier for couples to register the gifts they really want. (see sample registry http://www.felicite.com/registry.cfm?demowb-11825)

The on-line bridal registry has a unique Partial Purchase feature that allows gift givers to either buy the entire gift or make a partial contribution towards it. The system automatically keeps track of partial contributions and balances. This way, gift givers can easily share the cost of expensive gifts and will always find something within their budget.

The Partial Purchase feature makes It a lot easier for gift givers to team up on a nice gift ," explains Brad Krow, Vice President of Benchmark Group Media. Without Partial Purchase someone would have to organize the group and front the money. With this feature, people can do this on their own. The system takes care of tracking each partial contribution and the total balance."

The system also allows brides to register gifts from a variety of different merchants so they can have one registry for all their gifts. Brides can even register cash gifts such as a honeymoon fund, a donation to charity or a down payment on a new house.

In the old days when you got married, your friends and neighbors would get together and build you a house or some furniture," says Krow. Over time, as people moved apart, we lost this sense of community. With the Partial Purchase and Cash Gift features we are trying to revive this tradition by using the power of the Internet."

Brides can set up the gift registry either on-line or by visiting the stores of participating merchants. Once registered, gift givers can view the gift list on-line and make a purchase. Gift givers who are not on-line can call a toll-free number to request the gift list by fax or by mail. Wedding Bell is planning to give area merchants the opportunity to join its gift registry network.

In addition to the gift list, the registry also contains many other useful features such as an on-line photo album that can be used for sharing pictures with friends and an RSVP service that simplifies the RSVP process. There is an on-line Guestbook for visitors to sign and an E-Notification system that brides can use to communicate with guests.

Wedding Bell selected Felicite.com (http://www.felicite.com) to develop and operate its gift registry system. Felicite.com is the leading provider of private label gift registry systems. Its system can be quickly integrated with a merchant's retail store, web site or mail order operations, and is the only system with the Partial Purchase feature (patent pending).

Felicite.com was the only system that had the features we were looking for," says Brett Cohen, the developer of the Wedding Bell website. Their system saved us the time and money required to develop our own system. "

Wedding Bell is a wedding magazine serving Central Pennsylvania area brides. It is published by Benchmark Group Media.
