The MSF Brings Support Home
Online support group for MS launches in July
Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) July 2, 2003 -- Reaching the homebound and those in rural areas has been a challenge and goal of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (MSF) for some time. An interactive Online Support Group has been developed and is a convenient way to realize that goal.
Support groups traditionally meet in a comfortable location for members to share thoughts, ideas and concerns with people who have similar experiences. MS patients who are homebound or who live in an area without a local support group may miss out on these benefits. Revamping the structure of the traditional support group, the MSF brings these benefits into cyber space; anyone with access to a computer may attend" a meeting.
The first meeting of the Online Support Group will be on Wednesday, July 16 at 2 p.m. EST. The time will allow participation for those living on the West Coast as well as those from the UK. Monthly meetings will follow on the third Wednesday of each month and can be accessed at www.msfocus.org/auditorium.htm.
The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of those diagnosed with MS. For more information about MSF, contact 888-673-6287 or visit www.msfocus.org.
