From noon to 4pm, visitors strolling down NW 21st Ave. can stop and play with the animals and possibly adopt a furry friend on the spot.

Portland Roommate Referral, on NW 21st Ave., is one of several local businesses, large and small, to offer its storefront to the Oregon Humane Societys Adoption Outreach program. Created to expand the reach of Oregon Humane Society, Adoption Outreach sends animals and volunteers from the shelter into surrounding communities.

Portland Roommate Referral is open Saturday as well, finding compatible matches for those who need a place to live with those who already have a home.
