California Security-Software Developer Enters Japanese Hard Disk Drive Encryption Market

California-based data protection software developer PC Guardian Technologies and its Japanese distribution partner, Tokyo-based Global Software Network, release a Japanese-language version of Encryption Plus Hard Disk, which uses a U.S. government-approved encryption algorithm to protect data on computers running Windows NT, 2000, and XP. In moving into the Japanese market, the two firms are targeting large businesses and government agencies.

SAN RAFAEL, CA (PRWEB) July 3, 2003 -- Today, data protection software developer PC Guardian Technologies (PC Guardian) and its Japanese distribution partner, Tokyo-based Global Software Network (GSN), released a Japanese-language version of Encryption Plus® Hard Disk, the PC Guardian software program that uses a U.S. government-approved encryption algorithm to encrypt data on computers running Windows NT, 2000, and XP.

In moving into the Japanese market, PC Guardian is targeting large businesses and government agencies -- its core markets in the US and Europe.

Were anticipating an upturn in business-spending in Japan, enough to add another 5,000 users before the end of the year," says PC Guardian President Noah Groth, who reports PC Guardian software is being used to protect data on more than 1 million computers worldwide.

According to Groth, research shows strong interest by Japanese IT executives in PC Guardians full-disk solution. The reason, he says, is EP Hard Disks lower overall total cost of ownership and ease-of-use.

EP Hard Disk can be configured, installed, and maintained without having to purchase any additional equipment or train administrators and users. The result is a lower total cost of ownership for the enterprise, an important point for IT administrators, whose budgets remain under relentless pressure," explains Groth.

Founded in 1984 and with offices in the US and UK, PC Guardian (http://www.pcguardian.com) develops and markets computer security solutions to large companies, institutions, and government agencies in more than 20 countries.
