New Technology Solves Shopping Cart Abandonment Crisis

Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) July, 2003 -- Second Bite, Inc., the global leader in shopping cart conversion technologies, announced today the development of a new technology that drastically increases return on investment for online retailers by offering consumers sequential opportunities to purchase previously selected items after they abandon the shopping cart.

The system provides the consumer with an opportunity to review an order and reinitiate the check out process from within an email message. The permission-based email message is delivered immediately after Second Bite detects the abandonment and contains the abandoned shopping carts content, including items selected, prices, shipping costs, and taxes. Up to two more follow up permission-based email messages can be sent out by the Second Bite system and may include heightened calls-to-action, such as additional discounts or other incentives.
