Operation Tribute to Freedom: Stand Proud, Stand Tall

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2003 -- Stand Proud, Stand Tall Event: On July 4, 2003 Comedians, Musicians, Actors, Fashion Designers will be in Fort Dix, NJ for an exclusive morale and recreation event in support of US Troops and their families. Stand Proud, Stand Tall is part of the Department of Defense directive Operation: Tribute to Freedom.

In the tradition of the famous Bob Hope USO show, the USO World Headquarters and IG International have been brought together by Savnine Productions, Inc. to produce Stand Proud, Stand Tall. The event will be one of the first tours for Operation: Tribute to Freedom, a series of homecoming and morale events endorsed by the DOD & the Department of the Army, for US military troops returning from Southwest Asia.

This Fort Dix, Morale Welfare and Recreation, event is being held for military personnel, their families and the Fort Dix community to salute their commitment to the Global War on Terror. The theme, Stand Proud, Stand Tall, is a tribute to all Americans, especially those fighting to stop terrorism around the world. The vocal group For U" has recorded the theme for the event Stand Proud, Stand Tall" and will perform at the event.

Featured guests include hiphop / rap artist Dr. Dre, the newly crowned Miss Universe -- Amelia Vega, actresses Michelle Rodriquez (S.W.A.T, Fast and the Furious, Blue Crush) and Summer Altice (Scorpion King, The Grind), musical guests AJ McLean (from the Backstreet Boys), JP & Rich (opened for LL Cool J last week), Samantha Cole (performing her newest single), Miss New Jersey 2002-03 and USO National Liberty Bells" including Rich Blend Quartet. There will also be a fashion show coordinated by the world famous fashion designer Anand Jon (showcasing a select line of military inspired designs.) and the group SisterS (singing the National Anthem).

Additional celebrities and special guests are also scheduled to participate to show their appreciation for our US Troops and families.
