Allen & Shariff Corporation Relocates it's Salisbury Office

Maryland Engineering firm moves into new space at 205 East Market Street in Salisbury, MD

(PRWEB) July, 2003 -- Allen & Shariff Corporation is proud to announce the completion of its new Salisbury office in the former H.R. White Building. We look forward to adding to the history of this building, starting today when we open for business in our new location.

Originally constructed as an automobile storage and maintenance facility, Wimbrows Garage opened in 1929. It was later converted into the H.R. White Hardware store in 1937. All but the front facade was destroyed by fire in 1946, but was reconstructed. The building remained essentially unchanged until the hardware store closed its doors in 2000. Allen & Shariff Holdings purchased the building in the fall of 2002, intent on becoming part of the downtown Salisbury revitalization effort. Phase one of the construction is near completion as Allen & Shariff will soon occupy the newly renovated suite facing East Market Street. The East Main Street side is currently available for lease.

The design team, consisting of Allen & Shariff Corporation, Thomas W. Hayes Architecture, Inc., and Becker Morgan Group, created a high tech environment with an open floor plan. Design elements consist of state-of-the-art exposed ceiling systems, cable trays, and suspended direct/indirect lighting. The décor is complimentary in style, color and material selection. The construction team includes Gillis Gilkerson Inc., Joseph M. Zimmer, Inc., and Tomey Electric Inc. Feel free to stop by and see the new office in person.
