Phoenix, Azv August 16,2003, -- African American businesses in the Inland Empire have few expo options. While many are considered 'mom and pop types of businesses, at least 58% of African American owned businesses have national or international reach because of the Internet. They need to find ways to effectively create new customers and introduce new product items.
An Expo can provide a business with the opportunity to meet and create new customers. Participating in expos that are 'out- of --the --area is no longer taboo because you can now serve your customer with your website. Having a local establishment is no longer required to do good business in any area. The Wright Place TV Show , a media partner with the Arizona Black Expo is hosting a booth on August 16th, 2003 and introducing Inland Empire Businesses to Arizona.
The Wright Place has begun broadcast in Arizona and I wanted begin more local contact with the Phoenix Market", says Dr. Letitia Wright, host of the Wright Place.
I think there are a lot of great African American Entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire who could do well in the Phoenix area once people became familiar with their products and services." Author Kirk Clayton( Americas Colored People- Ignorance or Racism?), Author Jonnetta Chambers (Success Does Not Come On A Silver Platter), and Pamela Henry ( Pamelas Raw Organic Candy) will be the booth with cameo book signings and samples.
The Arizona Black Expo is August 16th, 2003 from 10 Am to 6 PM at the Phoenix Civic Center Plaza, Hall D & E. Keynote speaker is Stedman Graham, with Entertainment by Comedian H.B. Sanders (Star Search Winner) and Rebecca Bond
( American Idol Finalist). Admission is $5 and children under 12 are free.
