Baxa Corporation Completes Relocation to New US Headquarters
Denver-based Baxa Corporation, has completed the move of its corporate headquarters to a new 106,250-square-foot building at 14445 Grasslands Drive in Englewood, CO. Presently 93,000 square feet is in use: 36,000 sf for office space; 15,000 sf for manufacturing space; and 22,000 for warehouse space. The new building features an 8,000 square-foot, Class 100,000 cleanroom for sterile product manufacturing. Baxa moved to the new location from 13760 E. Arapahoe Road, Englewood, where it had been located since 1989.
Englewood, CO (PRWEB) July 8, 2003 -- With months of planning, construction and validation complete, Baxa Corporation announces that its service, support and manufacturing operations are now serving customers at new facilities in SE Metro Denver at 14445 Grasslands Drive. The announcement is made by Greg Baldwin, Chairman and CEO, who says the move team did a fantastic job in planning to make sure there was no interruption of service to customers and to ensure that phones and computers were up and running as quickly as possible.
The new building has been designed specifically for Baxa Corporation's needs, with future growth in mind. "In planning the new facility," according to Baldwin, "It was our hope not only to continue a high level of customer service and technical support, but to add the capacity for customer training and clinical symposia and create a facility that would support product development needs now and in the future."
Baxa had outgrown its previous building at 13760 Arapahoe Road and needed to add capacity for manufacturing, engineering and customer support activities. "Our goal was to build a manufacturing environment that would allow us to develop state-of-the-art products for hospital pharmacies while continuing a culture committed to customer satisfaction," Baldwin says.
In the new building, 93,000 square feet is being utilized (36,000 sf, office space; 27,000 sf, manufacturing; and 30,000 sf, warehouse). It also features an 8,000 square-foot, Class 100,000 cleanroom for sterile product manufacturing. Previously, sterile production was done in a 4,500-square-foot controlled environment. Present operations use less than 50% of overall plant capacity, giving Baxa the potential for 100% growth in the facility to handle future product demand and new product production.
