Omnicient.com, a fledgling portal service, announced today the first release of thier instant messenger. Using Jabber technology, members can connect to users from all major messaging networks including Yahoo!, MSN, AIM, and ICQ.

Omnicient.com, a fledgling portal service, announced today the first release of Omnicient Messenger. Members can connect to users from all major instant messaging networks including Yahoo!, MSN, AIM, and ICQ. You no longer have to install and run different programs to connect with different friends. All of the functionality you have come to expect is included such as private chat, group conferencing, and notification when a friend is online. Omnicient Messenger makes use of Jabber technology.
