Corey Andrew refuses to be assigned" to the categories of Hip-Hop and R&B simply because of the color of his skin. In the tradition of eclectic black artists such as Lenny Kravitz and Seal, Corey continues to break down the stereotypes in contemporary popular music. Coreys vast musical influences include the legendary Cat Stevens,Velvet Underground, and Pink Floyd.

Determined to delve into new musical directions, Corey is an artist more likely to be found setting trends rather than following them. Boasting a powerful yet smooth vocal ability, the driven performer takes pride in being a musical storyteller, finding the common thread of human existence as a basis for which to write and sing about.
