Search for Atlanta's "Most Fit" Companies Kicks into High Gear
PROMINA Health System is searching to recognize and reward Atlanta's "Most Fit" Companies. This release details why and how to nominate companies who have successful workplace-based wellness programs in place to improve the overall health of their company employees.
(PRWEB) July 11, 2003 -- Atlanta companies with successful workplace-based wellness programs soon will be rewarded and recognized for their efforts. PROMINA Health System -- the not-for-profit, community-based health system and host of the popular PROMINA Corporate Run/Walk & Fitness Program -- today announced registration details for the 2003 PROMINA Corporate Cup -- an annual awards program that recognizes Atlantas Most Fit" companies.
The PROMINA Cup is awarded to Atlanta companies who make a significant commitment to a healthy workplace and offer internal preventive health and wellness programs. This year, the PROMINA Cup will be awarded to four metro Atlanta companies in the following categories: under 100 employees, 100 -- 999, 1,000 -- 4999, and over 5,000.
Each of the 2003 PROMINA Cup Award winners will be chosen for their leadership in employee health and fitness. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at the conclusion of the 21st annual PROMINA Corporate Run/Walk & Fitness Program, which is slated to step off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2003 in downtown Atlanta.
Previous winners of the PROMINA Cup include: Southern Company, CIBA Vision, ING, the Shepherd Center, Coventry Health Care of Georgia and Greystone Power Corporation, among others. All 2003 winners will be included in a full-page ad in the September 19 edition of The Atlanta Business Chronicle.

PROMINA Cup entries will be judged by the nonprofit group, the Georgia Coalition for Physical Activity and Nutrition (G-PAN) - a nonprofit consortium of public, private and non-profit business organizations whose mission is to improve the health of all Georgians by promoting healthy eating and physical activity.
