This annual event raises $1 million to fund cancer research worldwide. 93¢ from every dollar goes directly to fighting cancer. Founded in 1968, the Concern Foundation has funded over 500 researchers studying many forms of pediatric and adult cancers, primarily in the area of immunology and immunotherapy.
By targeting young researchers, Concern is able to provide critically needed "seed" money for promising new projects. In addition to funding research, Concern sponsors fund-raising events and hosts activities for children with cancer and their families.
