Bioterrorism Expert at Bay Books on August 8th, 2003
Six Iraqi terrorists enter the U.S. already infected with a contagious form of Anthrax.
They die within days of entering the country... but not before attending crowded malls, sporting events, and amusement parks spreading the germ everywhere they went...

Captain Chris Holmes, MC, USN (Ret.) has been studying the history of medicine for over 35 years. A native of Canada, Chris Holmes received his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati's College of Medicine and served in the Air Force during Vietnam. After stints in private practice and academia, he became a Navy physician and has studied extensively nuclear, biological and chemical warfare. He led the medical team aboard the USS Tripoli during the 1992 U.S. intervention in Somalia.
Dr. Holmes is a physician, epidemiologist, an authority on disease and bio-warfare past and present, and is arguably the world's leading authority on the history of Anthrax. Dr. Holmes has taught at medical schools, has published many scholarly articles, and is certified in submarine and diving medicine with the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Holmes has done radio interviews on stations from San Franciso to Boston, and his Op-Ed's have appeared in newspapers from San Diego to Nashville. He was interviewed on Fox News, June 12th, 2003 by John Gibson on 'The Big Story' where Mr. Gibson and Dr. Holmes discussed infectious diseases especially in relation to Monkey Pox.
To help understand the problem of bioterrorism in a way that could be readily understood, Dr. Holmes' first novel, 'The Medusa Strain', is being closely followed by his non-fiction analysis on the subject, 'Spores, Plagues, and History: The Story of Anthrax'; both books are published by Durban House, the latter to be available in September, 2003.
'The Medusa Strain' is a finalist in 'Fore Word' Magazine's 2003 'Book of the Year' Awards for Best Mystery.
'Spores, Plagues, and History' is the only published book on the history of Anthrax.
