July 2003 Marks The Start of ECI Communication's 15th Year In Business...So Dinner is On Us!

ECI Communications, the national PR, advertising and marketing firm based in Washington, D.C. is celebrating the start of its 15th year in business. This release provides an overview of our clients and projects.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (PRWEB) July 15, 2003 -- Caren Kagan Evans, ECI President and CEO, announced today that ECI Communications, the national public relations, marketing and advertising firm based in Washington, D.C., is beginning its 15th year in business.

She also announced that Jim Kessler, who has more than 15 years political, legislative, speechwriting, media relations and policymaking experience, recently joined ECI as the firm's Senior Political Consultant; and Ben Mackler and David Ciommo were named ECI's Senior Graphic Designers to create PowerPoint presentations, brochures, websites and web-based content, and other collateral materials as a result of a recurring contract with the International Dairy Foods Association (see below).

American Pharmacists Association: a national public relations and marketing campaign on Patient Self Management: Diabetes", a new program funded by Aventis which is designed to combat the effects that diabetes has on America's workforce; a video on osteoporosis and diabetes for APhA's 2003 annual meeting; three video annual reports; and the 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 Pinnacle Awards videos

American Podiatric Medical Association: television and radio PSAs featuring sports broadcaster James "J.B." Brown to educate the public about the importance of foot health as part of diabetes prevention which aired on thousands of radio and television stations nationwide between November 2002 and January 2003

Amnesty International: a radio news release on "Why Am I Here", a new report demonstrating the mistreatment of children who flee to the U.S. from other countries; and a satellite media tour, national radio news release and thirteen state specific radio news releases on a new report on sexual abuse of women in U.S. prisons which generated an estimated 900 radio stories and 78 television stories on 44 television outlets (including CBS Evening News), reaching a combined broadcast audience of nearly 25 million adults nationwide

Boiron USA: a video and radio news release on Oscillo, the homeopathic medicine used worldwide for the treatment of flu symptoms; and a national print and broadcast media relations campaign on Oscillo, Chestal and Coldcalm, the three leading homeopathic cold and flu medicines

Federal Highway Administration: a radio news release on the second annual "Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day", a national bipartisan event designed to encourage Americans to drive responsibly to reduce fatalities on our nation's highways


International Dairy Foods Association (Got Milk?): a business-to-business marketing campaign which includes a video, PowerPoint presentation and brochure on vended milk for schools, hospitals and vending machine distributors; two videos, a PowerPoint presentation and two brochures on the benefits of promoting milk to increase overall sales for convenience and drug store owners; and a video, brochure and PowerPoint presentation for restaurant owners, which debuted at the annual conference of the National Restaurant Association in May of this year    

Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation: planning and implementation of RBRC's annual PSA and television advertising campaigns, including media buys on ABC, NBC, MSNBC, The Learning Channel, the Discovery Channel, Home and Garden Television and CNN Airport Network

Other notable projects have included an award-winning music video for the Consumer Electronics Association; an award-winning image video for Mobil Corporation; three television PSA campaigns, an award-winning 19-part high school video series, a patient education video on mammography narrated by actress Jill Eikenberry and video news releases on prostate, breast and colon cancer for the American College of Radiology; a membership video for the National Restaurant Association; two speaker support videos for the American Heart Association; and annual radio news releases, radio interview tours and an award-winning patient education video on breast cancer treatment options for the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.
