Traci 66 to play South London Festival of New Music.

"This is the second year in a row that Traci 66 have graced the Sounds of the Suburbs event, pretty much stealing the show the last time. Theyre back because their energy and enthusiasm when playing live translates through to their ever-growing fan-base and, as they themselves are well aware, if their music communicates with people then this is their biggest asset." Rik Berry Festival Organiser.

(PRWEB) July 15, 2003 - Born out of the collective desire to create something different, rock band Traci 66 formed in 2001 with the simple and express intention to write and perform 'forceful' music.

Whilst sampling the attitudes and music of Traci 66, one is immediately aware of this bands loathing of the apathetic population around them, it both depresses and drives them. Their music can hit like hammer or infect a hollow notion of emptiness, but the song remains the same -- with Traci 66, nothing is ever as sweet as you think it is.

Traci 66 take this frustration to the stage in a way that demands attention, they are not the kind of band to stand still and wait to be noticed. Their raw energy make their live shows something to savour, they lay themselves bear for their audience.

During the last year the band have been added to play lists on American College Radio stations and now have a following in Chicago, where the bands music and despairing lyrics have hit a nerve.

The culmination of 18 months work has resulted in a collaboration with producer Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy, UFO, Cathedral, Cradle of Filth et al) The band are currently in the studio recording a 4-track EP to be titled Sexual Suicide". Their track Fake" from this forthcoming EP is available for free at the merchandise stand (subject to availability).

See them on Saturday 26th July 17.35pm - 18.20pm at The Crystal Palace Bowl, Crystal Palace Park Road, London. Full festival details can be found at http://www.thebowl.org.uk

The bands next gig will be to 3000 girl guides at Windsor Great Park in August. Check http://www.traci66.com for forthcoming details.
