Silvertone Sciences to revolutionize the HPLC column market

Silvertone Sciences-the newest resident of the Science Center Port-is improving the performance of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) experiments, the most commonly used analytical technique used in research laboratories.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (PRWEB) July 17, 2003 -- Silvertone Sciences-the newest resident of the Science Center Port-is improving the performance of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) experiments, the most commonly used analytical technique used in research laboratories.

Silvertones international partner and supplier is Imtakt Corporation, an analytical device company that has revolutionized the Japanese HPLC column market. Silvertone Sciences first product is the Cadenza CD-C18 column, a three-micron column that offers the highest resolution in the world at 200,000 plates/m.

Silvertones mission is to develop and deliver the finest analytical instrumentation for research and development and drug discovery," said Silvertone co-founder Andrew Herman. We empower our customers with new and enhanced technologies."

We produce the highest-resolution HPLC columns available on the market," Herman said. Our three-micron technology also means researchers can perform experiments quicker with lower costs while achieving better results."

The resolution of the column makes all the difference," said Michael Robbins, another Silvertone co-founder. Our columns let researchers achieve much higher resolution-or the same resolution in a much shorter time period with less solvent."

With our columns, HPLC users can now detect previously unknown peaks and impurities and achieve greater levels of separation. Our columns are of particular benefit to LC-MS users, HPLC users seeking better separation, and HPLC users trying to reduce solvent costs and run times," Herman said.

Silvertones other co-founder is Itaru Yazawa, a founder of Imtakt and a leading expert in the HPLC field. We are excited about bringing our Cadenza columns to the U.S. market," Yazawa said. We are also excited to be located within the Science Center."

Imtakt was started at Kyoto Research Park (KRP), Japans top high-tech incubator. KRP has been affiliated with the Science Center since its inception in 1989," Yazawa said. " So when we were looking for an American home to launch Silvertone, the choice was obvious."

About Silvertone Sciences: Established in 2002, Silvertone is the U.S. affiliate of Imtakt, headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. Silvertone and Imtakt produce high-quality testing equipment for the analytical chemistry market, including the industry-leading Cadenza HPLC columns. (www.silvertonesciences.com)
