Specialist ductwork manufacturer, Senior Hargreaves, have announced top management changes. After ten years in the post of managing director, Brian G Ward has become chairman. Kevin White, who has been Brian's deputy for the past five years, moves into the role of managing director.
Commenting on the changes, Mr Ward said, "Customers, suppliers and our workforce are all very positive about the changes. These are challenging times in the mechanical services industry, but despite this, we are maintaining our leading position in the market and managing to sustain employment ready for improvement in the trade cycle. Kevin's extensive contracting experience is a major asset that will help us lay the foundation for a successful future."
Established for more than 130 years, Senior Hargreaves is one of the largest non public sector employers in Greater Manchester. The company has been associated with many building projects including prestige offices such as Lloyds, Portcullis House and Canary Wharf.
Industrial developments include laboratories for Glaxo Smith Kline and extensive works over 30 years at Sellafield. Hargreaves pioneered the development of fire resistant ductwork for the protection of life and property, with installations in major airports, convention centres and football stadia.
