QRS Diagnostic and Sunlight Medical Now Offer their Compatible Medical Device Technologies to Physicians in the United States
Sunlights Omnisense(R) Units Support QRS PC Card Diagnostic Devices
MINNEAPOLIS and SOMERSET, NJ (PRWEB) July 17, 2003 -- QRS Diagnostic, leader in innovative design and development of software-based medical devices contained in computer cards, and Sunlight Medical Inc., developer and manufacturer of high-technology medical devices, announce they have extended the scope of their international cooperative technology agreement to the United States.
Under the agreement, QRS and Sunlight have adapted the software components of their products so that QRS PC Card devices function on Sunlights Omnisense bone sonometry units. The compatible device technologies, which have been marketed to physicians in Europe and Asia since January 2003, are now available to physicians in the U.S.
Physicians in the U.S. can now benefit from the convenience and flexibility of performing ECGs, pulmonary function testing and pulse oximetry, in addition to osteoporosis tests, on Omnisense," says Markus Maritz, president, Sunlight Medical. It costs up to 50 percent less to add a QRS PC Card to Omnisense, versus buying a separate electrocardiograph, spirometer or pulse oximeter. Were making these diagnostic tools more affordable for physicians."
