Fans run Omega Red's Hip-Hop Label on CreateASuperstar.com

Meet Omega Red. Fans run his record label at www.CreateASuperstar.com. While incarcerated, Omega Red keyed into rap as a means of escape, which has resulted in over 500 songs in his library. Whether about poverty, growing up on the streets or relationships, Omega Red is making Reality Rap entertaining and accessible to a widespread audience. Fans have been voting on all aspects of the release of Omega Red's debut album, including album title, album photo, radio single and more on www.CreateASuperstar.com. Join the fans and vote today!

PROVIDENCE, July 18, 2003-3rd Eye Records, one of the record labels to be launched from the NEMIS Music Incubator, announced that its first release-a new album by rap star Omega Red-hit shelves June 24th, and it is sure to change hip-hop music business as we know it.

Omega Red is taking the music industry by storm and making history by giving the fans the power to run his record label. Over 45,000 fans voted at www.CreateASuperstar.com to decide important features of his album release. These votes resulted in the selection of the album cover, Juggernaut" as the album title, Juggernaut" as the first radio single, and the album release party city: Boston. Yet the voting is not over as fans will get to vote on an artist for collaboration on a remix, Omega Reds second radio single, tours, music video scenes, and much more. The fan-generated album can now be found in such stores as Strawberries and Newbury Comics throughout New England.

Giving the fans this power, rather than 3rd Eye executives, is part of an effort by the Incubator to launch a music industry in New England, comparable to the successful launch of other regions such as St. Louis (via Nelly), Down South (via Ludacris) and New Orleans (via Cash Money Records). The NEMIS Incubator nurtures New England music businesses by providing operational space, and business development and legal services support. 3rd Eye Records (as part of the Incubator) has turned over its marketing department to the fans in this unprecedented way. American Idol and Star Search prove that fans are yearning for direct interaction with musical artists. Omega Red is quenching their thirst," says record label executive Tara Hurley.

Omega Red is an ideal artist to launch CreateASuperstar.com. He has amassed a huge following since he first started performing in the New England area in 1993. His reality rap is based on personal experience. For instance, his incarceration resulted in more than 500 original songs ranging from street life to women. He is winning fans via the website from all over the world through his honesty, looks, charm and skill.

Under the direction of over 45,000 voting fans, Omega Red is receiving airplay on his single Turn You On" on Clear Channels Jamn94.5FM in Boston, Citadels Hot 106.3FM in Rhode Island and Hot 93.7FM in Connecticut. Omega Red has generated quite a buzz with a charismatic flow comparable to a young Jay-Z. Prepare for the Omega Red invasion!

The goal of CreateASuperstar.com is to evolve into a television series, with a pilot currently being formed in preparation for shopping to television networks. In a time of uncertainty and fear, 3rd Eye Records and Omega Red are revolutionizing the music industry. Stay tuned...
