Net operating profit was 189,438 for the eight months ended 31 March 2003.

LONDON (PRWEB) July 19, 2003 - I Want One Of Those Ltd, the U.K. based multi-channel retailer that offers a host of specialised gadgets, electronics, toys and games, today announced an increase of 260% in net operating profit on the previous nine month period to 31 July 2002. Net operating profit was 189,438 for the eight months ended 31 March 2003.

Gross turnover of 5.2 million in the current period was an increase of 93% on the previous period, leading to a profit margin of 4.3%. This compares favourably with the last year which recorded a profit margin of 2.3%. Total assets at 31 March 2003 were 569,775 compared to 534,486 at 31 July 2002.

As the company was launched in January 2000 with 15,000 and no outside investment, the results prove that internet based operations are a viable concern. David Booth, managing director said Were very pleased with our results given the competitive market we are currently operating in.

Christmas 2002 was a real test for us and being able to maintain our delivery promise right up until Christmas Eve, whilst many of our competitors had to lengthen delivery times, resulted in increased consumer confidence and sales. It proved that online shopping has now moved beyond buying just books and CDs. Maintaining our costs has also been key to increased profits and this is reflected in our results."

Looking ahead to 2004, projected results indicate continued growth over the next 12 months as the company seeks to strengthen its position as a reliable, timely distributor of gifts and gadgets. Ongoing development of the different channels -- internet, catalogues and B2B -- will remain the central focus.

A new site is to be launched in September which Booth believes will strengthen its position as an e-tailer with a unique approach to online shopping and will help the company develop overseas markets.
