American Express agent in Benidorm (Spain) rolls out independent transfer service at Alicante and Murcia airports.

Viajes Alameda, the American Express Travel Destination Services Office for the Costa Blanca, has released a website for the independent traveller. Managing director Mr Calzaverini says: "we realized that with the advent of the low cost airlines more and more people preferred to build their holidays independently: the booking with the airline, and the hotel where easy, but nowhere could the client book the transfer from airport to holiday destination and back. Eventually they where spending more money to get from the airport to their resort than they had on their flight. We stepped in and built a booking engine for the independent traveller, and gave it a name easy to remember. ShuttleDirect.com (r) was born."

shuttleDirect.com was rolled out in May and is growing exponentially. Hoteliers have realized it helps them sell to their customers, giving an extra added value to their web pages and are actively inserting hyperlinks to shuttledirect.com.
