Smolev, of Jericho, NY, is Partner-in-charge of the Tax, Trusts and Estates Division of Long Islands thirteenth largest law firm, Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP (FCSMC&C).
Terry is a welcome addition to our Board," stated Museum Executive Committee President Carol Safir, wife of former New York City Police Commissioner Howard Safir. He brings acute awareness and expertise to matters affecting not-for-profit organizations, and a sensitivity to our mission to preserve the history of those men and women in blue who protect society."
Current members of the Board of the New York City Police Museum located at 100 Old Slip in lower Manhattan -- four blocks from the South Street Seaport -- include: Bill Fugazy, Mary Hardin, William C. Rudin, Howard Safir, and John Wren.
I know Americans understand the service given our nation by those in uniform," said Smolev. And since 9-11, the New York City police force is truly emblematic of all that we hold dear and wish to secure. My tenure on the Board of the Museum is an attempt to reciprocate in some manner -- to help preserve and communicate the legacy of a police force that has protected New York for over 150 years."
