WHIRLED MUSIC CELEBRATES FIRST BIRTHDAY
Whirled Music, composer Gary Pozners digital music production facility, will celebrate its first birthday this month. The company, dedicated to musical collaboration on a global level, creates music for film and television. The highlight of its first year was Gary Pozner composing the symphonic soundtrack for the highest-rated show in the history of The History Channel -- RUSSIA: LAND OF THE TSARS. Coming up are projects for The History Channel and National Geographic Channel.
NEW YORK, NY, JULY 20, 2003 -- Whirled Music, composer Gary Pozners digital music production facility, will celebrate its first birthday this month. The company, dedicated to musical collaboration on a global level, creates music for film and television, and hopes to add computer game soundtracks to its whirled" in the future. The highlight of its first year was Gary Pozner composing the symphonic soundtrack for the highest-rated show in the history of The History Channel -- RUSSIA: LAND OF THE TSARS. That soundtrack was released in May.

Pozner, whose list of collaboration credits include such heavy-hitting rockers as Lou Reed, Debbie Harry, Tom Tom Club, David Byrne, Bernie Worrel, Nona Hendryx, UTFO, Mimi Goese, and Peter Gabriel, has also shared a stage with the Grateful Dead, Keith Richards, and U2.
During a tour in Portugal with the band Mimi, Pozner was introduced to PND, an organization created to integrate Portugals youth. He now returns to Portugal annually to teach and work with the European Cultural Exchange.
Next up for Whirled Music is music for Primate Parents," the pilot episode of the new National Geographic series LIVING WITH EXOTICS. In October, Whirled Music will begin work on the soundtrack for The History Channels epic documentary" on King Arthur.
Not bad for a company that, at one year old, should just be cutting its teeth.
