In one such experiment the guys ended up with more than they expected, receiving a two-way transmission from undercover law enforcement officers. The guys were amused to find a stakeout going down only a few streets over from the recording studio. As The Count, CRANKCALLER front man put it, "Someone left the two-way radio on and it all ended up on tape. When I heard it I actually felt personally involved. Surveillance is a dirty job, you could just feel It- like in the movies. We knew someone was going down... we heard personal stuff but nothing to compromise anything, no names." It was at that time Count decided to include select clips from the infamous, erroneously captured secret law enforcement transmission in the CRANKCALLER song, "OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN". "It's just plain funny to hear one cop call another 'buttercup'," says Count. Hear the clip on the CRANKCALLER band website (www.crankcaller.com) .
