MALCOLM X RAPS WITH GHANDI
An independent artist without label assistance or funding to produce and publish his music is stretching his hands out to publicist, promoters, and execs to help bring attention to his music.
Garys brand of roots and culture hip-hop is dedicated to the people in the streets protesting, skate boarding, and graffiti writing. Although its doesnt end at the people protesting in the streets today in Seattle, Quebec City, and in Africa but also women with a Maya Angelo style of poetry. Like Run Dmc did in the 80s and Wu-Tang did in the 90s Gary is doing in the new millenium by bringing blunt, skillful, rough beats and powerful vocals. Working from his basement with no money and no trendy gimmicks besides raw hip hop with the potential to be a corner stone in hip hop history Gary is walking a path that only a few have done before him. The album is difficult to locate without distribution but can be found emailing gnewman@myself.com. Garys music can also be found by calling in your local urban radio station or a college/University station in your area. The album is due out inte rnationally by the fall of 2003.
As a sociologist Gary blends funk driven hip-hop rhythms with socio-anthropological raps that rival Rakim and Krs-One for brilliance and energy. A rapper who addresses serious issues like globalization and the history of slavery with witty colorful rhymes about Thai women bust size and native insects that suffer the same fate as the people of the land.
