New company bears down on untapped market.

NAASA Inc. makes living by killing Teddy Bears.

Lees Summit, MO. (PRWEB) July 22, 2003 -- Everyone loves Teddy Bears, don't they? Apparently not. NAASA Inc just launched a web site that they believe taps into a unexplored market, a strange and controversial market.

They believe people will pay to torture and maim Teddy Bears and have the remains or the "alive" and crippled bear sent to them.

NAASA Inc. (National Association for the Advancement of Stuffed Animals) launched www.ransombears.com on July 4th with the thought that something so off the wall was sure to bring attention. Off the wall may not describe the idea well enough, on the site customers are greeted by a group identifying itself as the Talibear, an organization that apparently just doesn't like Teddy Bears.

The site is a mixture of humor and violence, and although the captors give you the option to release the bears unharmed there are many more options for torture and executions. Some of the more bizarre ones include fire, boiling oil and a trip to the blender. All bears killed come with a video showing the torture or execution, a certificate of death and an evidence bag containing the remains. Bears released unharmed will be sent in tact with a certificate of freedom.

Is it a joke? "Yes and no" says William County Jr., President of NAASA Inc. "We are serious about selling these bears, we really will be torturing and maiming teddy bears. But we realize these are just stuffed animals, that is the joke."

How has it been received? "Very Well!" reports Devon M County, brother of William and CEO of the company. "We were getting thousands of hits to www.ransombears.com while we simply showed a small video clip of an executed bear and a counter to our opening on July 4th. People are excited about different things and excited about things that push the line."

With a initial offering of 10 different character bears to choose from, including the Drunk Driving Bear and the Skinhead bear, there promises to be something for just about anyone. "What's more" continues William County "is that we have another dozen bears in R&D and also have a line of shirts, hats and keychains coming. We hope to introduce at least 5 to 10 new bears each month. We want everyone to have as much fun with our company as we do!!"
