Our Freedoms Were Never Free. Yesterday's Soldiers Fought for Freedoms Taken for Granted Today.
(JACKSON, MISS) - Imagine lying hidden in a depression in the ground. Pinned down by machine gun fire. Your brain hardly able to function from the intense noise of the battle. The sickening warmth of a friend and fellow soldiers blood and splattered brains on your body. Fearful, you wonder if youll ever make it home.
The brutal reality of World War II comes alive again today. Did our soldiers suffer for no reason? NO! Their deaths paid the very high price for our freedom. Freedom has been taken for granted. Now were being tested again. But today, we have the benefit of powerful lessons from our past.
"Americanism is at an all-time low. We must wake up and remember the price of our freedom, or lose that freedom forever," explains Oscar B. Ladner, WWII hero and author of A Test of Faith and Courage: Pattons Raiders in WWII. "As we learn from mistakes, as well as from achievements, we make this world a better place for all humankind to live in peace, freedom, harmony, and prosperity."

WWII Hero Still Fights Oppression, Tyranny
Oscar B. Ladner earned the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Infantry Badge for his bravery and heroics with General George Pattons 3rd Army during World War II. During his stint riding "shotgun" on a Pershing tank, Ladner became one of the soldiers included in the elite fighting force known as "Pattons Raiders" whose motto was "Intelligence, Discipline and Courage."
His first days in battle he vowed that if God returned him home safe, sound and in one piece, he would fight tyranny and oppression as long as there was breath left in his body. He has honored that vow his entire life, now writing speaking, and showing others how to preserve freedom throughout America.
"Through the authors eyes, feelings and hardships, you will witness the incredible gift those involved in World War II extended to the rest of us. A Test of Faith and Courage: Pattons Raiders in WWII will have you saluting the American flag and wiping away the tears."
