Nelly and Hall of Fame band together against Leukemia

Saturday September 6, 2003 the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame, Club Hall of Fame and the Family and Friends of Nelly join together for their second National Bone Marrow Los Angeles Registration Drive.

(PRWEB) July 23, 2003 -Hop Hall of Fame, Club Hall of Fame and the Family and Friends of Nelly join together for their second National Bone Marrow Los Angeles Registration Drive at the Hollywood Park Casino, 5th Floor, in the City of Inglewood, CA from 8:00AM until 7:00PM. Participants in the registration drives include recording star Johnny Gil; Extreme Dating Hostess Jillian Barbieri; Actress Janet Dubois and a host of other national and local figures.

The registration drives are motivated in part by the affliction of Nellys sister Jackie Donahue, with Leukemia. Ms. Donahue is in dire need of a bone marrow transplant however, all registrants will be placed in the National Bone Marrow Registry. Alongside Ms. Donahue, this registration drive will benefit hundreds of others nationwide who are in need of bone marrow transplants to survive, among them the world famous Father Boyle of Homeboy-industries located here in Los Angeles. Father Boyle, is a world famous community activist who has reached out to disadvantaged and displaced youth with programs that teach applied business concepts. Father Boyle is also one of the facilitators of the gang truce in the Los Angeles Area.

Club Hall of Fame and the Hip Hop Hall of Fame, led by music industry veteran Alonzo Williams are community and national entities which strive to recognize those paving the way through the entertainment industry maze, educate the next generation of industry stars and assist that generation via a complete education process of the Music Industry. The Hall of Fame board of directors include Violet Brown of Wherehouse Entertainment, Industry veteran Jerry Heller and other radio and music industry veterans.


Please come out and support Nelly, his family and friends as we search for a match for Jackie and all others that need our help. You can save a life! Donors will be placed in the national bone marrow registry.
