Boulder, CO (PRWEB) July 25, 2003 -- Redstone Software and Corybant Inc. today announced that Corybants IVEENA voice notification and alert technology has been incorporated into Eggplant, Redstone's premier cross-platform software testing and automation tool.

This will give test automation professionals the capability to initiate a phone call from a test script and react to a touch-tone response." John McIntosh, President of Redstone Software continued, Our customers have been asking for this capability. They can run their automated tests unattended and have the scripts contact them either if something goes wrong or when the test completes."

We are thrilled to provide the workflow engine with our IVEENA technology for the Eggplant Testing Platform," said Mho Salim, CEO for Corybant.

Redstones Eggplant is the first of a new generation of system automation products, built on a solid Mac OS X foundation, but capable of automating tasks on any computer system. Combining the ability to remotely control any cooperating computer on the network through the open VNC protocol, with intuitive SenseTalk scripting, Eggplant delivers a powerful set of tools with the flexibility to serve a variety of needs.

Corybants sophisticated workflow engine and IVEENA technology will extend the capabilities of Eggplant to include delivering monitoring and alerts to any phone that can be responded to from any phone. A pilot implementation was announced at MacWorld during the week of July 14, 2003. This product will enable developers to monitor their software programs and be called by IVEENA on any phone when certain criteria are met and be able to respond to that message using voice.
