(PRWEB) July, 2003 -- The three-day international Ahmadiyya Conference would commence on Friday, 25th July 2003 in the vast grounds of 'Islamabad Tilford Surrey in which more than 25 thousand representatives from all over the world are expected to attend. Members of Parliament for the United Kingdom and some African countries and special representatives of Heads of state are also expected to attend. Huge marquees are being erected for the audience at the site. Food and accommodation facilities will be provided to all the participants.

Speeches by Ahmadi Muslim scholars include 'The concept of jihad, 'What Ahmadiyya Islam has given to the world, 'Humility and modesty in the life of the Holy Prophet. Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad the present Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will address the conference each day in which he is expected to mention the annual progress of Ahmadiyya Islam worldwide.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was founded in 1889 in a small town Qadian, Punjab, India. Its founder Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of the age. It is the most dynamic organisation within the vast body of Islam today. Ahmadiyya Islam stands for the brotherhood of mankind and tries to establish peace on earth by means of spiritual transformation of the world through love, Persuasion and tolerance. It is a spiritual organisation and thus has no political agenda. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is known all over the world as a peace loving and law abiding community which endeavours to establish full and complete freedom of religion and conscience for every human being and does not admit the use of force, compulsion or coercion in matters of religion and belief. Ahmadi Muslims therefore reject the misguided notion of the co called 'Holy War or Jihad with the view to enforce upon others the religion of Islam. They also reject as un-Islamic the idea of any worldly punishment of blasphemy, as it would run counter to the freedom of religion as taught and cherished by Islam.

The conference will include a worldwide initiation ceremony that is held every year at the time of the annual conference in which large numbers of people from different countries gather at some places in their respective countries and then via satellite take an oath of allegiance at the hands of the supreme leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The proceedings of the conference will be broadcast live by MTA (Muslim Television Ahmadiyya), a free 24 hour satellite TV channel available on Sky Digital Channel 807, run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and will be simultaneously translated into several languages.
