Granite Productions of Aberdeen, Scotland has published a new website providing an insight into the development of Scottish Weaponry. The resource at http://www.scottishmist.com includes a collection of 3D models representing typical weapons used by Scottish warriors and soldiers from the early Stone Age period to the coming of the Scottish Enlightenment in the late 18th Century. The website provides several views of each weapon with descriptive information. A fully immersive 3D browser also lets you manipulate and view the weapons from any angle.

This is the third project undertaken by Granite Productions as part of the Resources for Learning project funded by the New Opportunities Fund Digitisation Programme. Scottish Weaponry, along with The Steps of the '45, an interactive journey following the route taken by Bonnie Prince Charlie during the Jacobite rebellion, and Scottish Country Dance Animations, a guide to the steps, formations and dances used at a Scottish ceilidh, can be viewed at http://www.scottishmist.com
