Signiant Increases Traction in Automated Data Movement Market During First Half of 2003

During that time, the company experienced its best six-month revenue period to date; enhanced its product line; obtained additional financing; and grew its customer base by 50 percent.

During that time, the company experienced its best six-month revenue period to date; enhanced its product line; obtained additional financing; and grew its customer base by 50 percent.

Best Six Months
Revenue for the first six months of this year was up 100 percent over the equivalent period in 2002, and equaled sales for all of 2002.

Mobilize 4.0
In June, the company announced Signiant Mobilize 4.0, the latest version of its leading automated data movement software. Sold through leading storage OEMs and resellers, Mobilize is proven data movement technology that provides an end-to-end automation solution for secure, reliable data synchronization, consolidation and distribution among heterogeneous systems. Release 4.0 of Mobilize provides significant advancements to its already market-leading capabilities.

Obtains Additional Financing
In Q1 2003, Signiant secured additional venture capital, led by Boston Capital Ventures, a new investor, with participation from VIMAC Ventures, a prior investor. Although funding figures were not revealed, the company said the round was oversubscribed.

Channel Sales Success
Paced by its OEM relationship with EMC Corporation, in which EMC licensed Signiant's technology for its new EMC OnCourse software solution, as well as relationships with other resellers and solution providers, Signiant enjoyed a healthy growth in its customer base. During the first half of 2003, Signiant technology was purchased by companies in finance, defense, government, electronics, manufacturing, telecommunications and energy industries, among others.
