TWO OREGON GREATS LINK UP ON THE PGA TOUR JELD-WEN becomes a major sponsor of PGA TOUR pro Ben Crane

JELD-WEN, Inc., based in Klamath Falls, Ore., announced today that the company will be a major sponsor of PGA TOUR professional and University of Oregon graduate Ben Crane for the next three years.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- They say birds of a feather flock together, and now two Oregon greats are linking up on the PGA TOUR to create a flutter of their own.

JELD-WEN, Inc., the worlds largest manufacturer of reliable windows and doors based in Klamath Falls, Ore., announced today that the company will be a major sponsor of PGA TOUR professional and University of Oregon graduate Ben Crane for the next three years.
   
As part of the agreement, Crane will wear the JELD-WEN logo during tournament play, making him one of the few PGA TOUR professionals to don the logo of a company from the building industry. JELD-WEN is Oregons largest privately held company and Crane was born and raised in Oregon -- a link that both company and player see as an advantage.

Crane has performed well on the PGA TOUR this year. He is currently 27th on the PGA TOUR money list with earnings of more than $1.2 million. In the 16 tournaments held this year, he has finished in the top 25 five times. Cranes 2003 PGA TOUR highlight came at the BellSouth Classic in April, where he captured first place, scoring 16 under par to win his first PGA TOUR title. He also has earned some impressive statistics. According to the PGA TOUR, he ranks fifth among his peers for lowest number of putts per round this year and 20th for birdie averages for 2003.
