Entrant Deadline Nearing for 2003 TDS Metrocom Celebration on the Grand Parade

The deadline for entries for the 24th Annual TDS Metrocom Celebration on the Grand Parade in Grand Rapids on Saturday, September 6, 2003 is nearing. Parade entrant applications are due Friday, August 1, 2003. The entry fee will be $25 for all participants. Any applications received after August 1st will be subject to a $35 entry fee. The TDS Metrocom Celebration on the Grand Parade has been organized and operated by the Grand Rapids Jaycees since 2001.

Grand Rapids, MI- Attention all marching bands, businesses and community organizations! Time is running out to have your organization represented in the 24th Annual TDS Metrocom Celebration on the Grand Parade presented by the Grand Rapids Jaycees at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2003. The parade route follows Fulton Street from Jefferson Avenue to Vernon Avenue, ending near the GVSU campus in downtown Grand Rapids. The theme for this year's parade will be "Home on the Grand".

The entrant fee for all participants is $25 before Friday, August 1st. The entrant fee increases to $35 after August 1st. Entrant applications and additional parade information are available on the Grand Rapids Jaycees Website at http://www.grjaycees.org or on the Celebration on the Grand website at http://www.celebrationonthegrand.org.

The Grand Rapids Jaycees, a service and leadership organization for people ages 21-39, have organized the parade since 2001. The Grand Rapids Jaycees have also organized other community events such as the Farmers Charity Classic, the Santa Claus Parade, and the Special Olympics State Basketball Tournament.
