LINA- SHE'S BACK AND ON THE BEACH!! Recording Artist Inks New Deal With Hidden Beach Recordings

Santa Monica, CA- July 23, 2003 -- The Queen of Swing is back ... out of the Ocean and on the Beach! LINA, formerly of Atlantic Records, has solidified a new record deal with Hidden Beach Recordings. LINA will produce her future solo projects through her own label, MoodStar Recordings, to be released on the highly regarded Hidden Beach Recordings. Of Hidden Beach, LINA states, They are dedicated to putting out quality music. Every artist needs the passion that they have."

LINA first introduced her signature fusion of R&B, Hip Hop, and Swing in 2001 with her debut album Stranger On Earth. She made waves across the world with the singles Its Alright", Playa No Mo", and the groundbreaking Im Not the Enemy", which provided the musical scenery for Fox Pictures 2002 blockbuster hit High Crimes" starring Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd.

With her sophomore project near completion, LINA and Hidden Beach set their sights on raising the musical standards. Currently untitled, the album is slated for release as early as Fall 2003. Hidden Beach, already home to Jill Scott, Kindred-The Family Soul, Mike Phillips and Darius Rucker, stays committed to exploring avenues of expression often hindered by traditional commercial restraints. A philosophy shared both by label and artists.

After parting ways with Atlantic Records in 2002, LINA established MoodStar Recordings, an independent label with the goal of supporting real artist dedicated to making quality music. MoodStar has already completed its first project: a compilation album titled Save Your Soul, Vol. I, do to hit stores this summer. SYS delivers a variety of musical genres, from alternative rock to hip-hop, and features four new studio recordings from LINA.

Managed by industry veteran Skip Millers Panda Entertainment Group, LINA expects to release the first single from her sophomore album this summer. Catch LINA live, doing her jazzy-swing thing!
