David Herrendeen Foundation Website

Memorial and fundraising website to share memories of a loved one and create a vehicle for donations to assist the surviving family members.

The Imagination Factory recently launched website http://www.rememberbean.com/. This site is a new design for David G Herrendeen Foundation.

"A close friend, 'bean' recently and suddenly left us." says Cass Lowrie - long-time friend, "Unfortunately he also left a wife and two children. For those of us that knew him, there is so much to say. Bean was quite possibly the greatest husband, father, son, brother and friend ever created. His charisma, smile, humor and loving personality made him an irresistible gentle giant."

"Friends and family came together and shared how 'bean' had touched their life." explains Lowrie, "Because of an overwhelming request to share these stories AND offers help to Beans family, we wanted to create a vehicle to do that. So many people said they know what Bean would do for them in this situation that they must now do the same."

Lowrie adds, "We knew from our involvement with the Imagination Factory on our own site, that they would be able to help us do exactly what we needed to do. We have been very excited to see this site unfold before us. The entire process has been much more emotionally beneficial and cathartic for everyone involved than we initially thought it would be."

"There are so many aspects to developing a memorial garden-esque type of web presence." explains Bailey - CEO of the Imagination Factory, "There is quite literally a little bit of everything one might find in several commercial sites right here in this one site. We have incorporated a searchable database to house the many tribute stories being submitted similar to what might be found in a real estate site. Then there is a self-maintaining photo gallery that would be suitable for a professional photographer. There are feedback and event registration forms, as well as double confirmed opt-in mail list forms. There is a custom donation form that communicates with PayPal and which allows for BOTH one-time OR recurring donations that could work for many other fund raising or membership oriented applications. Eventually, there will be a 'Bean' e-commerce store."
