Coppersonic Uses Vintage Sound for New CD
Coppersonic is an independent New York area rock group playing music with a traditional American roots sound.
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 27, 2003 -- New York based rock trio Coppersonic embraced the machines and methods of analog recording to create the vintage sounds found on their new full length CD Coppersonic". Despite the ubiquity of digital technology available to todays recording artists, founding members John Carini and John Truelove chose to record using the same techniques and equipment used by bands like the Rolling Stones and The Allman Brothers.
The band experimented with digital recorders and computer based production tools but found the overall quality somewhat cold and sterile for rock songs with a traditional American, roots sound.
They made the decision to complete the entire project at Retromedia studios in Red Bank NJ, a recording studio that specializes in vintage sound.
In addition to recording and mixing all the music onto analog tape, the group also utilized classic studio effects equipment and instruments in the final production.
Now, with the Coppersonic" gaining international interest, the band continues their supporting tour in the Southeast with stops in Virginia and North Carolina. Additional information regarding show dates, photos and free music downloads can be found on the bands website: www.coppersonic.com.
